- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 2 dry red chillies
- 3 finely chopped onions
- 3 finely chopped tomatoes
- 3 green chillies
- 1 inch Ginger
- 5-6 Garlic pods
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriandor cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- to taste Salt
- As needed Water
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 2 tsp Chopped coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Dal Dhokli Rajasthani Style
- In a kneading plate add both the flours, hand crush carrom seeds, salt, turmeric powder.
- Red chilli powder, oil, add water and knead stiff dough
- Add oil and knead it again. Cover it and keep it aside.
- Take a pan/ kadhai on medium flame. Add oil mustard seeds, get crackled. Add asafoetida, dry red chilli.
- Now add onions saute it till it get golden. Add chopped tomatoes, saute it. Till smashy. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder.
- With coriandor cumin powder, garam masala. Crush ginger garlic green chillies, salt. Mix it well.
- Add boiled blended dal with water. Let it get boiled.
- Now make equal parts of dough. Roll big size Roti (Thin). Cut it in square. Roll all Rotis.
- Once dal start boiling add square pieces of rotis. Mix it, cover it. Cook it for 10 min. Check roti piece cooked, add lemon juice, Chopped coriandor. Mix it well.
