  4. 1/4 Tsp Baking soda

  7. 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  8. to taste Salt
  9. 1/4 cup Melted ghee
  10. 1 tbsp Oil to brush over
  11. as required Cold Water to mix dough

Instructions to make to make Baked Shankarpali

  1. First, in a deep bowl, sieve maida, suji, baking powder, baking soda, and mix well.
  2. Then add all the spices, salt and ghee. Rub well for 5 minutes.
  3. Use cold water and gently mix all to make a dough. Do not overknead.
  4. Then keep it wrapped in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  5. First keep oven to preheat at 180°c for 10 minutes.Then take out. Roll a ball sized portion to a thick disc. Cut out diamond shaped pieces. Then keep them on a greased and lined tray with a little distance between each piece. Brush each piece with oil.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Turn over and bake again for 10 minutes till golden. Remove and keep open in a tray to cool.
  7. After cooling, store in an airtight container and enjoy for 1 to 2 weeks. Enjoy in your festival!
