  7. 1 liter Water
  8. For Dough, to simmer dal, use as per the thickness of dal
  9. 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
  10. 2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  11. 2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  12. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  13. 4-5 finely chopped Garlic Cloves
  14. 2 inch Grated Ginger
  15. 2 chopped green Chillis
  16. 1 medium size chopped Tomatoes
  17. 2 Kokam
  18. Jaggery (as per sweetness you want)
  19. 3 medium size boiled Potatoes
  20. to taste Salt
  21. Oil for tadka
  22. 2 pinch Asafoetida(Hing)
  23. Mustard seed for tadka
  24. 1 Red Chilli (cut into half) for tadka
  25. 5-6 Curry Leaves for tadka

Steps to make to make Stuffed Dal-Dhokli

  1. In a bowl mix all flours and add all spices. (Divide these spices in three portion according to your taste, salt, coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder.)
  2. In a pot add boiled dal, add jaggery, kokam, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, green chilli, ginger and coriander powder.
  3. In another bowl add boiled potatoes add remaining ginger, garlic, and remaining spices. Make a filling. With the help of roller-pin make a small round chapati. Put a spoon full filling and make a dumpling. Make dumplings of all filling.
  4. From the remaining dough make a big chapati and cut it into small diamond pieces.
  5. Add these stuffed dhoklis and diamond pieces in boiling Dal.
  6. In a small frying pan heat oil, add mustard seed,. Once it starts popping add Hing, Curry Leaves and Red Chilli. Add thus tadka in Dal Dhokdi. Your stuffed Dal Dhokdi is ready. Enjoy Meal!
